So I’ve been living in Burkina Faso for the past five months. I should actually already be back in America right now, but cheaptickets.com is terrible and messed everything up without taking the responsibility for it. So I’m sitting in Ouagadougou, the capital, and will be leaving on a plane in about 9 hours. It’s been really awesome, and I’ll miss the simple living and friendly strangers, but I’m so ready to come home. Neil and friends are sitting in South Florida waiting for me to arrive, and that’s the only place I want to be right now.
I’d write more about Burkina right now, but writing a blog post sounds really unappealing to me at the moment. So here’s a picture of one of my favorite boys at the orphanage in Yako where I spent most of my time. His name is Yannick. My friend Jon Platt took this.
